What Our Inspections Cover
Here's What We Cover In An InspectionWe will conduct a thorough inspection of your home, inside and out. As a certified member of the National Association of Certified Home Inspectors (NACHI), Indiana State Licenced Professional Home Inspector, B~E Home Inspections has the knowledge and expertise to provide you with a thorough and professional, non-intrusive, visual inspection of your home, from roof to foundation. An average inspection takes about 2 1/2 hours. In every inspection we have three things in mind -
Outside the home, We will check the structural integrity of the walls, roof, and foundation. We inspect the driveway and walkways for cracks and hazards. Decks, windows, retaining walls, electrical runs and exterior outlets, and a/c condenser are just a few of the external areas we inspect. Moving inside we examine the walls, ceilings, floors, doors, and windows. The heating, air-conditioning,plumbing, and electrical systems will all be examined to ensure that they function as intended. Bathrooms, kitchens, and laundry rooms receive a thorough check, along with the attic and basement or crawl space. It has been said that a inspection covers over 2500 items.
Here are some of the many items we'll be looking at during your home inspection:• Foundation and support structure• Fireplaces • Roof systems • Basement seepage • Safety controls • Water heater • Ventilation • Electrical capacity & components • Structural integrity • Steps and stairs • Heating system • Central Air Conditioning system • Walks and driveways • Built-in appliances • Plumbing system & fixtures • Garages, Carports, Workshops or other external buildings • Surface drainage • Windows & doors • Insulation • Gutters & downspouts • Decks • Sump pumps
